Update: Import Authorization Now Required for Vehicle Parts to Angola
Effective immediately, the Regulatory Agency for Cargo Certification and Logistics of Angola, under Presidential Decree No. 155/20 (June 1st), has extended the requirement for ANTT prior authorization to include certain vehicle components.
Impacted HS Codes:
- 8408.20 – Vehicle propulsion engines
- 8708.40 – Gearboxes and related parts
- 8706.00 – Chassis with engines
- 8707 – Vehicle bodies and cabins
- 8708.94 – Steering systems
- 8708.80 – Suspension systems
- 8708.50 – Transmission systems
New Documentation Requirement:
In addition to standard export documents (Bill of Lading, Commercial Invoice, Freight Invoice, Import License), proof of ANTT authorization is now mandatory for the above items.
